Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT)
Emotional Freedom Technique is a therapeutic approach that combines a few different varieties of alternative medicine to treat a wide range of physical and psychological disorders.
EFT is an energy based therapy and works on a similar basis to acupuncture and acupressure. By stimulating meridian points on the body, usually through light tapping, energy blocks are dissipated. As well as this simple affirmations and thought exercises can be used to target problem areas.
EFT is a gentle healing method whereby there is no need to relive uncomfortable or painful life experiences, or to investigate the root of the problem. It helps both mind and body to let go of emotions that are trapped within and may be holding us back, so it is possible to live a healthier and happier life.
This approach was founded my Gary Craig, who holds the belief that the root of negativity and problems within the self lies within the body's energy system.
